Rental Policies

RENTAL CONDITIONS APPLY TO ALL ADDITIONAL DRIVERS. A MAXIMUM OF TWO ADDITIONAL DRIVERS PERMITTED. AN ADDITIONAL DRIVER FEE WILL BE APPLIED.

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS AND ON HOLIDAYS IS ON REQUEST ONLY. CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RENTED VEHICLE IN THE CASE OF AN OUT OF HOURS RETURN, UNTIL THE RENTAL LOCATION OPENS THE NEXT WORKING DAY.

MINIMUM RENTAL AGE IS 23 YEARS FOR ALL CAR GROUPS EXCEPT 25 YEARS FOR CAR GROUPS SDMR, SDAR AND SVMR. THERE IS NO MINIMUM AGE LIMIT. A YOUNG DRIVERS FEE WILL BE APPLIED WITH A MAXIMUM CHARGE OF 10 DAYS FOR RENTERS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER AND THEFT WAIVER LIMITS THE CUSTOMERS FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR THEFT OF THE RENTAL VEHICLE. THE MAXIMUM EXCESS THAT IS PAYABLE IN THE EVENT OF ONE OF THESE INCIDENTS IS 1100 EURO. THE MAXIMUM EXCESS WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE VEHICLE YOU ARE RENTING, PLEASE ASK AT TIME OF RENTAL FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ON WHICH EXCESS APPLIES. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO REDUCE OR REMOVE YOUR EXCESS RESPONSIBILITY PLEASE ASK THE RENTAL STAFF WHEN COLLECTING YOUR VEHICLE ABOUT ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS THAT ARE ON OFFER.

ONE WAYS ARE ALLOWED WITHIN THE ISLAND WITH NO CHARGE EXCEPT CAR GROUPS SVMR WHICH CARRIES A ONE WAY FEE OF 35.00 EUR INCL VAT. MINIMUM RENTAL 3 DAYS. AVAILABLE FOR ALL CARS. MUST BE PRE-BOOKED. INTERNATIONAL ONE WAYS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

RENTED VEHICLES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO LEAVE MARTINIQUE.

ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS ARE ACCEPTED (VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERCARD & DINERS). CASH RENTALS ARE PERMITTED. TRAVELLERS CHEQUES AND EUROCHEQUES ARE NOT ALLOWED. A DEPOSIT OF THE LENGTH OF RENTAL + KM + INSURANCE + TAXES + REFUELLING + 20 PERCENT IS REQUIRED FOR CASH AND CREDIT CARD RENTALS WHICH IS HELD ON THE CREDIT CARD UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS RETURNED. A CREDIT CARD IS ALWAYS REQUIRED FOR DEPOSITS.

LICENCE MUST HAVE BEEN HELD FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS. INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENCE IS NOT REQUIRED. SHOULD YOUR DRIVING LICENCE NOT BE RESIDENT TO THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN OF YOUR BOOKING WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHARGE AN APPROPRIATE RATE FOR YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE.

To rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the United States and Canada, you will need the following:

  • To be 25 years old 
  • A valid driver's license with a photo
  • A photo ID (For example: a driver’s license or passport)
  • Credit or debit card (check the acceptable forms of payment at the location you’re renting from)

Some locations may require additional information, including but not limited to: 

  • An International Driving Permit (IDP): If the license is written in a language or characters different to those of the country of rental, an IDP is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
  • Return travel and accommodation information: Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK. 

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Fuel Policy at Non-Airport locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • A full tank of gas is not guaranteed.

Fuel Policy at Airport Car Rental Locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • You may opt to pre-pay for fuel -- Pre-pay gives you two conveniences:
    • You can avoid the hassle of having to fuel up the vehicle before returning.
    • Pre-pay fuel option is calculated at the local rate of gas minus a per gallon discount.

Note: Prepaid fuel is only sold in full tanks at the discounted price per gallon and is not refundable. Local fuel rates will vary by the area you are renting a vehicle.
