Travelers must also have proof of intent to depart, such as a return ticket to their depature country. Visas are not required for citizens of: the United States and its territories, Canada, the United Kingdom and its territories, the European Union, the Caribbean and Central American countries.

English is the official language of Belize. Spanish is the second language.

  8. Hol Chan Marine Reserve – a marine reserve close to Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker, off the coast of Belize. It covers almost 7 miles of coral reefs, seagrass beds and mangrove forest. Fun fact: Hol Chan is Mayan for "little channel".
