Directions from Terminal

The car rental counter is located outside the terminal building. On arrival, make your way down to the arrival hall which is on the ground floor of the airport.

The arrival hall is divided into two- the Virgin and Qantas end. There are two main exits which are on either side of the taxi rank entry point -Qantas main exit and Virgin main exit-. Once in the arrival hall, make your way outside the airport using the main exit in the Virgin end of the airport.

Once outside, with your back to the airport you should notice the following:
-horseshoe driveway -vibe hotel and the overhead bridge in the distance.

Proceed down the footpath on the right side of the horseshoe driveway. You will need to cross the lane dedicated for taxi pick up to get onto the footpath.

The Redspot-Enterprise office is in the first office space as you proceed down the footpath. The office is currently been shared with 2 other rental companies. There is signage on the office entrance indicating Redspot-Enterprise and the 2 other rental companies that share the one office.

Rental Policies

Each additional additional driver is charged at a flat fee per day of AUD 3.50 which excludes Location Fee and GST. The fee is capped at 6 days.
For Enterprise and National bookings additional drivers are included.

After hours service pickups- after hours pickup service is not available at this location.
After hours service drops- there are a couple of options for returning a vehicle after hours:
A. If you wish to drop off between 8pm and 10pm mon-fri or between 4pm and 10pm Sat-Sun, there is a drop box inside the Redspot-Enterprise office. The office space is shared with two other rental car companies and will be open during these times. The Redspot counter will be unattended but you can drop off your keys inside the box sitting on top of the counter.
B. If you wish to drop off at any other time i.e. outside the times listed above in section a, there is a drop box in the foyer of the rental car park. This is located near the lifts and pay parking meters. The drop box is shared by all the rental car companies and keys are retrieved every morning.

Please note that after hour returns can only be done during canberra airport opening times. The terminal usually closes at midnight or half an hour after the last flight in case of flight delay. The airport reopens at 430am. 

Minimum driver age of 21 years old. There is no maximum age, however under 25 years old will only be able to reduce their damage liability to AUD 330.00.
A young driver surcharge of AUD 14 per day which excludes Location Fee and GST applies to all Drivers aged between 21-24 years old.
Drivers aged between 21-24 are restricted to vehicles ECMR, ECAR, CDAR and IDAR only.
All drivers must have held their licence for a minimum of 1 - one - year. If any driver is on a probationary licence there is an additional Probationary Licence Fee of AUD 17 per day which excludes Location Fee and GST.

The Renter must not use the Vehicle outside the Permitted Area of Use. If the renter takes the Vehicle outside the Permitted Area of Use their Liability for any loss or damage will increase and any optional damage waiver selected void.

For Vehicles rented in Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, the permitted area of use does not include Western Australia or the Northern Territory.

Vehicles may not be driven above the snow line from June to October, on beaches, in watercourses or rivers.

Permitted Area of Use” means the area in which the Vehicle may be driven. The Permitted Area of Use is limited as follows
1. For those Vehicles-hired outside the Northern Territory and Western Australia, the Permitted Area of Use does not include the Northern Territory or Western Australia.
2. For those Vehicles hired from the Northern Territory, the Permitted Area of use does not include any other States or Territories of Australia.
3. For those Vehicles hired in the Northern Territory, the Permitted Area of use does not include driving on the road to Jim Gorge and Twin Falls or north of the Oodnadatta Track including the following areas: Mount Dare, Dalhousie Springs, Witjira National Park and Pedirka Desert.
4. For those Vehicles hired from Western Australia, the Permitted Area of Use does not include any other states or Territories of Australia and does not include any place further north or East than Exmouth or further east than Kalgoorlie-Boulder Township or Esperance.
5. The Permitted Area of Use in Queensland does not include any place further north than Cooktown or in a westerly direction beyond Chillagoe and Georgetown. The Permitted Area of Use does not include the Bloomfield Track coastal route between Cape Tribulation and Cooktown or Fraser Island and Stradbroke Island.
6. The Permitted Area of Use in South Australia does not include any place further north than Wilpena or in a westerly direction beyond Ceduna.

Intermediate or Midsize SUV IFAR, Fullsize FDAR, Premium Van PVAR 3,300 AUD

Enterprise-
Ecomony ECAR or ECMR, Compact CDAR, Intermediate or Midsize IDAR, Fullsize FCAR 22 AUD excluding Location Fees and GST per day reduces your damage liability to 440 AUD
Intermediate or Midsize SUV IFAR, Fullsize FDAR, Premium Van PVAR 24 AUD excluding Location Fees and GST per day reduces your damage liability to 440 AUD. 

Possible to and from most locations. One way drop fees apply for all valid one-way rentals in Australia. No one ways into or out of Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania

In the event that the renter returns the vehicle to a location that differs from the one noted on the original rental agreement, then RedSpot Car Rental reserves the right to charge a relocation fee based on the KM distance table below.

From 01 KMS - To 50 KMS - Charges -ex Location Fee and GST- 40.00 AUD
From 51 KMS - To 250 KMS - Charges -ex Location Fee and GST- 250.00 AUD
From 251 KMS - To 500 KMS - Charges -ex Location Fee and GST- 500.00 AUD
From 501 KMS - To 750 KMS - Charges -ex Location Fee and GST -800.00 AUD
From 751 KMS and up - Charges -ex Location Fee and GST- 1000.00 AUD-max charge

Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. Where a vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of fuel, the renter will be charged for fuel and a refueling fee. A minimum refueling charge of 25.00 AUD applies if a fuel top up is required. A pre-paid fuel option is available at time of collection at a discounted rate per liter. All fuel charges must be settled by the renter.

 TIRE and WINDSHIELD PROTECTION - This reduces the renters financial liablity against damage to Windscreens, Headlights, Tyres and Overhead to Zero. A daily premium of 6.50 AUD for all car groups applies.

WHTO cover does not cover damage caused by a person stepping, standing or sitting on the roof or any other panel of the Vehicle or by loading or unloading goods. The renters liability for Damage to the roof of the Vehicle caused by loading or unloading goods including surf craft is not covered or limited.

The Renter must not use the Vehicle outside the Permitted Area of Use. If the renter takes the Vehicle outside the Permitted Area of Use their Liability for any loss or damage will increase and any optional damage waiver selected void.

A valid credit card or debit card must be provided for all rentals. For payments we accept all major credit cards, debit cards and cash and for deposits we only accept all major credit cards, debit cards but not cash. Charges for options and coverage must be settled at the commencement of the rental together with a deposit bond. The credit card holder is listed as the hirer and must be present at the time of rental commencement. The credit card deposit by way of authorisation is AUD 200.00.

A credit card fee applies as follows and is applicable to all rental charges excluding the deposit bond including any optional items purchased and damage liability charges. There is no refund of credit card surcharges

Union Pay Cards
We are now able to accept Visa and MasterCard that have the Union Pay logo on the card. Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to accept a Union Pay card that has been branded only by Union Pay. These cards start with a 6, 8 or 9.

To ensure you accept only the correct card, please take note of the following -All three items MUST be present on either the front or back of the card to be accepted-
1. The China Union Pay logo is a red, blue, green striped logo and will be found on the front of the card.
2. The Visa Credit card logo is the standard silver hologram of the Visa Dove this can be found either on the front or back of the Credit card. This hologram indicates to staff that the card is a credit card. Union Pay Debit cards do not have the hologram. Debit cards are NOT accepted at this time.
3. The standard Visa logo will be located on the front of the card and has the word VISA in blue and gold. Important Single branded Union Pay Debit cards have a CUP logo only. See examples shown below. They do not have a hologram, or any other bank logo.

This is the roadside assistance service that kicks in where standard breakdown service ends. Premium Roadside Assistance covers those times when you just need a helping hand to get on your way, like fitting a spare tyre or opening a car with the keys locked in.

Services offered in the Premium Roadside Assistance program include-
-Change a flat tyre, install vehicles spare tyre
-Lockout service if you are locked out of your car
-Fuel delivery - up to 15 litres at no charge if you run out of fuel
-Jump starting your car if the battery is run flat  i.e lights left on
- 150 AUD of accommodation or transport costs. Reimbursement of expenses as a result of rental car breakdown

Premium Roadside Assistance is there to help you 24 hrs 7 days a week. For a daily fee of 3.50 AUD for all car groups, customers save on all of the above and receive total peace of mind. 

Please Note- Premium Roadside Assistance will coordinate provider services for you. You will need to be present with the vehicle for Premium Roadside Assistance services to be provided.  The relevant phone number to contact can be found on the rental agreement wallet which you will receive when collecting your vehicle.

We accept current Australian, International and overseas licences. Overseas licences that are not easily identifiable as a drivers licence must be accompanied by an International Licence or English translation. Valid drivers licence must be held for a minimum of 12 months.

To rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the United States and Canada, you will need the following:

  • To be 25 years old 
  • A valid driver's license with a photo
  • A photo ID (For example: a driver’s license or passport)
  • Credit or debit card (check the acceptable forms of payment at the location you’re renting from)

Some locations may require additional information, including but not limited to: 

  • An International Driving Permit (IDP): If the license is written in a language or characters different to those of the country of rental, an IDP is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
  • Return travel and accommodation information: Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK. 

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Fuel Policy at Non-Airport locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • A full tank of gas is not guaranteed.

Fuel Policy at Airport Car Rental Locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • You may opt to pre-pay for fuel -- Pre-pay gives you two conveniences:
    • You can avoid the hassle of having to fuel up the vehicle before returning.
    • Pre-pay fuel option is calculated at the local rate of gas minus a per gallon discount.

Note: Prepaid fuel is only sold in full tanks at the discounted price per gallon and is not refundable. Local fuel rates will vary by the area you are renting a vehicle.
